History and Philosophy of The Las Vegas Knights
The Club was established on October 15th 2010 by tuxedo2 with two Teams from The United States and The United Kingdom.
When a member wins a tournament his country’s flag is proudly displayed in the appropriate tournament room.
Even though the club's members are fierce competitors a real friendship has developed across the globe from California, Nevada, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Missouri and Texas in the United States, to British Columbia, Ontario and Manitoba in Canada and across the Pond to England, Norway and Scotland.
The Club now plays with four teams from the above mention countries.
Friendly banter is the norm in The Las Vegas Knights Country Club.
It has always been the policy of the club that our tournaments are FREE to enter!

Withdrawing or not entering Tournaments:
Not being able to play happen to all of us for one reason or another.
We realizes members have jobs, family, friends, vacations and other more important activities other than golf on The World Golf Tour. There is no rule that a member has to post on the forum and there is no rule that you have to play all the tournaments each month. However the vast majority of the clubs members are active on both fronts.
Some members will miss tournaments, or take some time off for one reason or another.
On the other hand, if you are not participating more often that you are participating, perhaps being in a member of The Las Vegas Knights isn't in your best interest.
If you don't pop in the forum occasionally, you will, with 100% certainty be missing out on something, whether that be a special tournament, a conversation, or an announcement, it's best to keep tabs on what's going on and ensure that your spot in the club doesn't become irrelevant.
If a member is going to be off line for an extended period, or they need to take some time off for any reason, they will not be expected to participate.
We only ask members to communicate by posting some kind of explanation on the club forum.
A very good idea is to post on your profile status if you are going to be gone, as well as when you intend to return.
A member will never be removed from the club if they communicate.
Replays:
There are occasions where a member might lose connection,World Golf Tour issues, screen freezes, your cat named "Egypt" leaves a pyramid on your keyboard, or your wife hits you over the head with the rolling pin.
In these situations a member should post an explanation on the club forum.
Please do not message the Tournament Director, the entire club needs to know why a replay has been created.
A special tournament will be created and you will be given another opportunity to post a score.
This should be considered a very special privilege and members are expected not to abuse this policy.
If you just withdraw without any explanation you are out of the Tournament.

Tosspot Guidelines & Rules:
Tosspot is British slang which can mean, depending on the context, a drunkard or an objectionable person. Until recently, it meant exclusively a person who drank heavily.Beer was customarily served in ceramic pots, so a tosspot was a person who copiously 'tossed back' such pots of beer. The word "tosspots" appears in relation to drunkenness in the song which close Shakespeare's Twelfth night. In a morality play by Shakespeare's contemporary Ulpian Fulwell it contains a character named Tom Tosspot, who remarks that:"If any poor man have in a whole week earned a grote,(coin) He shall spend it in one hour in tossing the pot". This meaning is losing popularity however, as tosspot is now often synonymously with "tosser" or "wanker"By extension it also means somebody who is obnoxious, irritating or ridiculous. More recently, 'tosspot' has become synonymous with, annoying or someone who looks extremely strange. In British colloquialism it can be used harshly or in a soft humorous endearing way.Harsh form: "George was drunk the other night and was acting like a right tosspot". Soft form:" My kid was running around with a bucket on his head looking like a right tosspot" It is most often also used frequently as an endearing term, by a wife to her husband. A Las Vegas Knights Country Club citation from 1929 in addition to the above mentioned definitions also lists the top ten reasons you might be a tosspot: If you think that Genitalia are an Italian airline, you might be a tosspot. If you don't post an explanation when you WD you might be a tosspot. If you think safe sex is a padded headboard, you might be a tosspot. If you do not play the Club Tournaments, you might be a tosspot. If you think it is hilarious to use the same tree as your dog, you might be a tosspot. If you simply disappear from the club without a word, you might be a tosspot. If you think loading the dishwasher is getting your wife drunk, you might be a tosspot. If you do not communicate and read the forum you might be a tosspot If you think the French Riviera is a foreign car, you might be a tosspot. If you do not visit this web site, you might be a tosspot. If you believe dual air are your wife and your mother-in-law, you might be a tosspot. |
