Playing on the World Golf actually is no different than playing the real game, it's all about how much time, effort and money you are willing to spend to play better. If you are willing to invest the time this page has numerous very good tips that will certainly help your game.
Most of our members recommend using Maxthon 3 or Maxthon Nitro (http://www.maxthon.com/nitro/static.html) as a browser when playing this game.
The meter is very smooth (most of the time) and it also has a very good wide screen.

Posting a Score Card:
Follow the instructions from this link below...for Windows 7 users scroll down to point #4...then use "imgur.com" (you must create a free account first at imgur.com) to upload your saved scorecard images...use the "Snipping Tool" in the Windows 7 Accesories folder from your computer to snip and save the cards to your computer...if you use the Maxthon browser press "Ctrl + F1" on your keyboard...this opens the "Snap" tool to select a region on the page...position frame around the scorecard and save to your computer...in your imgur.com account select "Computer" to upload the saved scorecard image(s) to your imgur.com account...select and open the uploaded card image in your imgur.com account...under the "Direct Link (email & IM)" heading, left click on the little page icon (it will say "copy" when you roll your cursor over it) to copy the "http" address of the image...this copied address is what you will paste in the Media URL box as described in the instructions from the link below. http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/14726.aspx?PageIndex=1 Shot Shaping:
A very good graphic and a great tool in helping to shape a tee shot on The World Golf Tour. |
Posting a replay on the Forum:
First you'll have to save the replay while you're in the game window...either use "Save" (store it on your WGT Profile...you're allowed only 10 replays) or use "Share" (store it to your own email address to access later) Here's the short and fast way to post it on the forum Hi-Lite thread...go to that saved replay and open it...click on "Watch The Replay"...at the top of the page you will see the URL address box (that bar across the top with all the funny text in it)...right click in that box...it will hi-lite the text in blue...then select "Copy"...you can then go to our club forum and compose your message...when you want to insert the URL address link of your replay to the message just right click to position the text cursor and select "Paste"...the link will be added to the message. If you want to get fancy...select some text in your message, by left clicking and dragging across it...let's say you typed "replay of my shot", select that text (it will hi-lite in blue)...then select the little icon in your message tool bar at the top that looks like 2 links of a chain and a pop-up window will appear (when you roll your cursor over it, it says "Insert/edit link")...there will be a flashing text cursor in the "Link URL" box...right click and "Paste" the copied URL address of your replay in there...in the "Target" box, select "Open link in a new window"...(this next step is optional) in the "Title" box, give it a title "SHOT REPLAY", for instance, and then select "Insert"...this will link the shot replay to the selected text in your message. |
